Fruit and Nut Chocolate Bliss Bites

These Fruit and Nut Chocolate Bliss Bites are a delicious snack, packed with flavour and containing no added sugar, gluten or coconut. Perfect to pack for mum lunches for an afternoon energy hit.

Do you find that you could easily eat through 1/4 block of chocolate and still not feel satisfied? 🙋‍♀️ Well maybe not a 1/4 of a block. Or #nonjudgement, yes 1/4 of a block 😆. The funny thing is though, there is no way I could eat any more than one of these Fruit and Nut Chocolate Bliss Bites at a time. Which makes these the perfect 3.00pm snack at work or after dinner ‘when-the-kids-are-in-bed-and-I-need-something-sweet-to-get-me-through-to-bedtime’ treat.

These Fruit and Nut Chocolate Bliss Balls are gluten free and are free from coconut too. If you do not have Medjool dates you can use regular pitted dates but soak them in boiling water for 5-10 minutes then drain them before using.

You could really make these Fruit and Nut Chocolate Bliss Balls with any nuts, but I love cashews and almonds. Hazelnuts and peanuts would also work well too. If you wanted to use peanuts, I would remove their skins as I personally prefer them without their skins.

Roasting the nuts

I love the flavour of roasted nuts. This really brings out a creamier flavour or the nuts. So I always take the time to roast the nuts before making these Fruit and Nut Chocolate Bliss Bites. And it’s pretty easy to do.

  1. Preheat your fan forced oven to 200c.
  2. On a lined baking tray add the nuts and roast for around 5 minutes until golden brown.

Just make sure you keep your eye on them to make sure they do not burn.
